My family moved to Austin in February of 2000, and we can’t imagine living anywhere else! It’s a wonderful place to call home - the people are friendly, the weather's great and, trite as it sounds, Austin really does offer something for everyone.
Austin’s been a great place to raise kids. (That's a favorite old photo below.) My girls attend wonderful schools (public and private), they have participated in excellent arts and sports programs, they enjoy the diversity the city has to offer and of course, we all love the live music!
In my free time I love being on the trails at Lady Bird Lake, checking out the art galleries and just being out and about in the city. I also volunteer through my church with some pretty amazing urban ministries and am involved with the annual Austin Fine Arts Festival – the largest of the many our city offers!
